Acer\u2018s Aspire S7 Ultrabook reboot was unveiled, bringing with it fourth-generation Intel Core processors and some other new features. At the time, Acer stated the laptops would be shipping out in the third quarter of this year, with pricing and some additional details surfacing around the same time. Such was the case this evening, with the company announcing pricing and availability.<\/p>\n

The lower end Acer Aspire S7-392 (model 6832) is priced at $1,499 USD and features a fourth-generation Intel Core i5-4200U 1.6GHz processor featuring Turbo Boost tech up to 2.6GHz. There\u2019s 8GB of DDR3 dual-channel RAM, as well as a 128GB solid-state drive. The laptop runs Windows 8 and there\u2019s support for the operating system\u2019s gestures, among other things.<\/p>\n

\"asus-a42-k52-laptop-battery\"<\/a>Acer employs dual-array microphones with this machine with Acer<\/a>\u2019s own PurifiedVoice technology. This aims directly at making the computer understand, transmit, and record \u2013 where necessary \u2013 your voice for voice recognition (hello Google) and VOIP applications in as \u201ccrystal clear\u201d a manner as Acer is able.<\/p>\n

The display\u2019s ability to pull back 180 degrees \u2013 flat, that is \u2013 allows for more multi-user capabilities as well. \u201cTouch-and-show sharing\u201d they call it, with a hotkey combination flipping the orientation of the display at will. Aside this machine\u2019s 4th gen Intel Core processor is a RAID 0 solid state drive for silent operation and quick read\/write times and wakeup from sleep.<\/p>\n

Intel\u2019s Haswell generation of Core processors work here to bring on Intel WiDi technology so that this machine can extend or mirror its display to a TV or otherwise big screen monitor wirelessly. Intel\u2019s technology is also implemented here to improve Acer aspire 6935g battery<\/a> life, coming in at 7 hours according to Acer, that ending up bringing a 33% improvement over the original.<\/p>\n

The higher end Aspire S7-392 (model 9890) features similar specifications, running a more powerful fourth-generation Intel Core i7-4500U 1.8GHz processor with Turbo Boost tech and 8GB of DDR3 dual-channel RAM. There\u2019s a 256GB solid-state drive, and the price tag reflects these changes with a price tag of $1,699 USD.<\/p>\n

Both ultrabooks feature a 13.3-inch Full HD touchscreen display, as well as a thickness of 0.51-inches and a weight of 2.87lbs. The laptop\u2019s cover is crafted with white Gorilla Glass 2 for durability and scratch resistance. Both likewise feature a Full HD integrated webcam. The keyboards have \u201cdeeper\u201d keystrokes, the fan is quieter thanks to a second-generation Twin Air Cooling Technology, and the ultrabook battery life has received a 33-percent boost.
