BOSCH, the engineering company, launches core18v batteries.<\/p>\n

The unit offers maximum power and performance while minimising weight, an achievement that bolsters its claim to being the \u201cbest-built battery among leading competitors\u201d.<\/p>\n

The battery employs advanced lithium-ion technology to deliver 80% more power than previous generation Bosch batteries.<\/p>\n

Next-generation, high-powered Bosch Core18V cells are laser-welded and rail-connected for high efficiency, allowing Core18V batteries to deliver better performance than competitor batteries that have up to 24% more weight and are up to 35% larger.<\/p>\n

The Bosch Core18V battery offers optimised cell technologyand an improved power connector within the ten high-density cells that ensure lower internal resistance. That means higher currents can be drawn from the cells over a longer period.<\/p>\n

Bosch has answered the need for stronger and longer-lasting battery performance in high-load applications, where cordless tools have previously been unable to provide enough power and runtime.<\/p>\n

The Bosch Core18V battery delivers up to 20% longer runtime than previous-generation Bosch 6.0 Ah batteries and up to 50% longer runtime than 5.0\u00a0Ah cells in extreme applications.<\/p>\n

Owing to its next-generation cell technology and powerefficiency, the Core18V battery can generate more current to finish jobs that other batteries cannot.<\/p>\n

In addition, it is the most compact and lightweight high-power battery available.<\/p>\n

\u201cBosch<\/a> looks at battery power from the user perspective. What do users want? They want greater power and more runtime in a compact size, which is what the Core18V is all about,\u201d says Bosch Tool Corporation product manager Theron Sherrod.<\/p>\n

He adds that the Core18V represents a big piece of the Bosch effort to build end-to-end product systems that offer superior performance, no matter what the job is.<\/p>\n

Based on increased power and runtime, plus backward compatibility across the full power tool line-up, we feel this is a step beyond battery power systems that are currently available.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0BOSCH BAT159 Power Tool Battery<\/a>\u00a0housing of the Bosch Core18V is designed to transfer more heat to the outer surface, resulting in an up to 35% better cooling effect than previous CoolPack batteries.<\/p>\n

The Core18V\u2019s CoolPack 2.0 system is designed to keep the battery cooler for better runtime and longer life.<\/p>\n

However, updated CoolPack technology provides up to 135% longer battery life than batteries that do not have CoolPack technology.<\/p>\n

This technology, combined with reduced resistance and higher efficiency, means that the battery is less likely to overheat during high-load applications. The Core18V batteries provide 100% compatibility with all 18 V Bosch lithium-ion tools and chargers.<\/p>\n
