Help your battery life longer! Maximum battery life is indicated.

Most of us have this situation: we get on the bus, turn the key, and then click! You’re trapped thanks to a dead cell. In fact, all rechargeable batteries eventually lost the ability to charge.

Don’t get stranded. Maintain the freedom of mobility you get from your Dell  laptop. When you notice your laptop battery discharging more rapidly, purchase a replacement. Use the links at right to find the battery you need.

There are a number of factors that can impact the run time of your Dell latitude d620 laptop battery. Here are some tips to help maximize run time with your laptop:

  • Turn off Presentation Mode by using QuickSet
  • Turn off wireless by using the Fn+F2 keys or QuickSet
  • Reduce screen brightness by using Fn+ the up and down arrows
  • Remove external peripherals such as PC cards and USB devices when not in use
  • Perform high power tasks such as gaming, DVD playing and data analysis, while connected to AC power source

*Dell QuickSetTM  is a software interface available on most Dell laptops since 2002 that enables easy control over key features. QuickSet makes it easy to customize settings for travel or presentations, and its power management interface provides quick access to standard or customer-defined power schemes.
Using the Power Management Wizard, a customer defines settings for standby and hibernate modes, as well as power schemes that can turn off the display and hard drive, set display brightness, and define wireless activity. These schemes are customized for operation on and off battery.
